Do you have two green bins or more?
Your first green bin for food and garden waste issued by Milton Keynes City Council will continue to be collected for free on a weekly basis.
If you have one or more additional green bins, though, you must opt-in to an annual paid subscription service to make sure they are also collected.
The service was introduced on 12th May 2025 and costs £55 per bin, per year for up to two additional green bins.
Permit stickers will be issued by Milton Keynes City Council for each additional green bin subscribed to the service. Any additional green bin without a sticker will NOT be collected.

Please note: Residents with excess food and garden waste who are unable to compost it can still take it to their local recycling centre for free.
